Jes Gignac

Jes has over 20 years of culinary experience, beginning as a line cook before graduating from Conestoga College's Culinary program in 2006. Her career has included baking, catering, restaurant management, and event planning, with experience ranging from corporate events and television launches in Toronto to disaster relief coordination with the Canadian Red Cross. After returning to Northern Ontario, she played a key role in special events, menu development, and logistics for The Miner's Son, later opening a successful food truck and catering business that served weddings, festivals, and high-profile events, including a garden party for the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario. In 2018, she helped launch Stack Brewhouse as General Manager before stepping away to raise her two sons. While at home, she has continued to support menu development, catering, and special events alongside her husband. Outside the kitchen, Jes enjoys spending time with her family and golden retriever, baking, fishing, camping, road trips, and creative hobbies including crochet, sewing, and embroidery.
